Freshers’ team

There’s one group of students who we really rely on to make Welcome Week work – the Freshers’ team – a group of current students who have volunteered to dedicate their week to helping you settle into your new life at NTU.

Recruited by Nottingham Trent Students Union from the university’s diverse and varied student community, Freshers’ team members will be around throughout Welcome Week, as well as helping out in Halls of Residence and at loads of Welcome Week events. You should be able to spot them pretty easily in their green t-shirts – if you need help, directions or anyone to talk to, just ask them!

We also have a specific group of Freshers’ team called the Network team, who are there to help integrate mature and international students, and those not living in halls of residence.

Welcome Team

Our Welcome Week Team is made up of a mixture of staff and current students, all of whom are here to help you settle in to life at NTU! We’ll be around all week, manning the Welcome Week information points and helping out at loads of events including the brunches, lunches, barbecues, film nights, trips and tours. We’re easily identifiable from our bright purple ‘Welcome Week’ t-shirts, and we are here for the sole purpose of helping you have the best possible start to your university experience – so if you need anything at all, let us know!

Students’ Union Exec

The Nottingham Trent Students’ Union Executive Officers are a group of former students who have recently graduated from NTU. They have been elected by current NTU students to help run the university, and play a huge role in the planning and delivery of Welcome Week. You’ll see them out and about around campus and in the Students’ Union buildings, as well as at lots of Welcome Week events.

You can spot them by their ‘NTSU Exec’ branded purple clothing – they’re a friendly bunch, so feel free to stop them to say hello!
